Veteran’s Organization Held Equine Therapy Event

Children of active military personnel and veterans enjoyed their time spent last Saturday on April 17, 2021, as part of Veteran’s Club Inc.’s spring Military Child Equine Session. This was the first therapy event of the club for this year.

There was horseback riding and the children who participated got to know what it takes to care for horses. “The children that we work with, their parent is suffering from PTSD or traumatic brain injury or just a lot of different physical injuries. Whatever we can do to take some of that load off, we want to do that for them, too,” said Jeremy Harrell, the founder of Veteran’s Club Inc.

The event was held at Taylorsville, Kentucky. If you’re in Shelby County and you want your children to experience the event, the second equine session will be held before the 4th of July.
