#MilitaryDogsStamps are trending online since a booklet of 20 stamps was issued on August 3 at the American Philatelic Society Stamp Show in Omaha.

USPS Art Director Greg Breeding designed the hand-sketched stamps which were brought to life in Adobe Illustrator by DKNG Studios. The designs featured red, white, and blue colors and white stars to show the patriotism exhibited by the military working dogs.

Canine breeds featured in the illustrations included the German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, and Labrador retriever.

David C. Williams, vice chairman of the U.S. Postal Service Board of Governors served as the dedicating official of the ceremony. He was joined by other military veterans and law enforcement officers to dedicate the stamps.
