This April 10, 2021, the Dunwoody Farmers Market will have a booth of therapy dogs greeting those who come with a smile and wag. The booth will be open from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm as part of the Happy Tails Pet Therapy Animals. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the group and talk interested individuals into joining as volunteers.
Cheri Gatland-Lightner, president of the organization said, “I am excited for our organization to be stepping back into visits with the community and our client facilities.” The nonprofit organization has been around since 1991 and has visited over 180 institutions providing comfort to those in need.
