Hundreds of patients filled Chilhowee park on Saturday and Sunday as they waited in line at the Remote Area Medical’s annual Knoxville clinic. This clinic offered everyone dental, vision, and basic medical care.

To keep patients entertained, a 5-year-old Golden Retriever named Hurricane came to visit. Hurricane is one of the dogs from H.A.B.I.T. (Human Animal Bond In Tennessee), a program that brings therapy dogs to hospitals and clinics.

Several patients were delighted. RAM volunteer Miriam Matthias said, “It’s so wonderful you guys bring him out here, it’s great for the patients.”
