Did you celebrate National Dog Day on August 26? It’s a time to reflect on the things that our canine friends do for us.
To enlighten you, Phil Tedeschi shares his thoughts and research findings on dogs. Phil is a human and animal behavioral researcher. He’s also a professor at the University of Denver.
According to him, dogs have started to become one of the first responders in crisis situations. When it comes to service dogs and therapy dogs, Phil says that people see them as more trustworthy than humans. No verbal communication is needed for a dog and human to build a meaningful connection. Dogs also help humans get the exercise they need. Overall, they improve our health.
