Stray Dogs Causing Problems in Guam

Guam already has had its stray animal problems for decades. But this time, it only has gone from bad to worse. Part of the growing problem was people were freeing the animals from traps that have been set under the orders of the mayor.

Local officials have estimated that 25,000 to 60,000 stray dogs and cats are roaming village streets. People are concerned as to what happens to the animals that have been trapped. It’s probably the reason why they’re releasing the animals.

Funding could soon be made available to address the growing stray animal issue which poses risks to children going to school and going back to their homes.
