Sully the Golden Retriever comes in whenever traumatized witnesses or victims of abuse have a hard time sharing their experiences, especially children. Victoria Roberts, Sully’s handler, says, “We can have them sit on a couch and he will literally get up on the couch and put his head in their lap. So they will just pet him the whole time they’re talking to us.”

Sully also sits in court. Prosecutor Tim Lomar told a story about how Sully helped two abused children testify against their abuser.
