Question: Are Service Dogs Just For Blind People?
Answer: No. Most people think that service dogs only assist blind individuals and may interchange the terms “service dogs” and “eye-seeing dogs.” Service dogs perform a variety of tasks for people with different disabilities. For example, a service dog can assist someone with PTSD by providing safety checks and interrupting self-mutilation. It can also provide hearing assistance for people with hearing impairments.
