Founded at Sacramento in 1987, RedRover has made its organization’s mission to strengthen and care for human and animal bonds. As pet owners face financial hardships due to the pandemic, the organization has opened a new grant program called “Emergency Boarding”. This program covers the cost for 2 weeks of boarding for pets whose owners have been hospitalized or quarantined due to the COVID-19 infection. Not only that, but the organization also has The RedRover Relief program. This initiative offers small financial assistance to owners whose pets are in need of urgent veterinarian care from life-threatening emergencies. Case managers provide emotional support and guidance to the pet owners as they pass through the relief’s application process.
