Tzivia Gover was brisk-walking one morning with her dog Corby. She had been planning to do so as she read an article about how it was healthy for the heart. But during their walk, she met another woman who stopped them. Not really interested in small talk, Gover had no choice. Prior to that morning, Gover experienced heartbreak in her recent breakup.

The woman simply asked what kind of dog Corby was and the conversation progressed from an inquiry to the sharing of realizations. Gover found out that she and the woman learned the same lesson of welcoming their 1st dog into their lives. “Love is simple, good medicine. Sometimes we are made better by loving a dog. Sometimes we are made better by a dog loving us.” Said Gover.
