Pet Therapy Video to Fight Quarantine Loneliness

Therapy Animal Coalition, Jacksonville’s nonprofit, puts together a virtual project in which pet owners and animal therapy teams share videos to help people in isolation curb their loneliness.

The project has been created and is running for a few days now but videos are still being submitted. As long as there are people who need a virtual furry connection, the program will continue.

Therapy Animal Coalition Board Kristi Leonard says, “The benefit of doing this is we have so many people who want to be a therapy team with their animals, but sometimes animals are unable to make the certification cut due to many different reasons.” Videos to be submitted can be 30 to 60 seconds long which features animals with uplifting actions.
