After being awarded a grant by the Community Foundation of Henderson County, the Blue Ridge Humane Society (BRHS) is now available to provide assistance to pet owners that need housing for their furry friends.

There will be two types of assistance provided through the new program. The first will be for the assistance of temporary boarding costs if the owner relocates or the animal cannot be kept due to emergencies.

The second is providing assistance for a one-time pet deposit of a rental unit. If you need to avail of this pet housing assistance program, you can call 828-393-5832. Otherwise for those who want to make a donation to the BRHS, please visit their website or call (828) 692-2639.
