Need a Relaxing Visit from a Therapy Animal? Call the CMTAA

CMTAA therapy animals

It’s no secret that animals help improve people’s well-being and lives. The Central Minnesota Therapy Animal Association (CMTAA) is one organization that aims to promote bonding between therapy animals and people.

What the CMTAA does is that they visit people in various settings – hospitals, schools, colleges, and more. All of the dogs in the CMTAA are certified therapy dogs. But wait, there’s more… The CMTAA also has a rabbit and two miniature horses!

These therapy animals are brought by the CMTAA team to places that need them. For example, colleges that need some stress relief during finals would benefit from CMTAA. Secretary Georgia Thienes says, “We know that when our dogs are at the hospital or the nursing home or anywhere, they’re healing.”
