National Guards in DC Surprised by A Furry Visit

Thousands of National Guard Troops will be stationed in Washington D.C. for a whole month in the light of the recent Capitol Hill siege. For the 250 guardsmen staying at the Hamilton Hotel, their Valentine’s season just went from cold to wholesome.

This is because a DC nonprofit called People Animals Love brought 12 therapy dogs two weeks ago as a gesture of gratitude for the troop’s noble service for their country.

Joe Palminteri, the Hamilton Hotel director told GNN, “Seeing hardened military men and women, roll around on the ground with these amazing dogs, as if no one is watching, truly filled our souls with happiness and gratitude.”
