October is the month for Breast Cancer Awareness. Just recently, Megabus brought therapy dogs to cancer patients undergoing treatment at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. This is Megabus’ way of spreading awareness of breast cancer. Before they left the hospital, they also donated. To date, they were able to donate $50,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

According to Sean Hughes, director of corporate affairs for Megabus, a lot of people are affected with cancer – including their employees. The company hopes that one day, their yearly donations to the BCRF will lead to a cure.
