Las Vegas Service Dog Diagnosed With Cancer Gets a Bucket List

wonka retriever

Wonka is a six-year-old Golden Retriever working as a service dog at Hearts Alive Village, a rescue group dedicated to saving animals at risk of being euthanized at shelters. Wonka welcomes and comforts the shy and scared animals the group brings in.

Recently, Wonka got diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma, an aggressive cancer that attacks cartilages and does not have a cure. Ever since Wonka left Hearts Alive Village, the group made him a bucket list and Kelly McMahon, Wonka’s assist owner said “We want everyone to just live life to the fullest.”
