Although the effectiveness of therapy animals lacks more scientific evidence, still these animals are highly demanded by people. It’s not uncommon to hear stories of patients claiming that they feel better after interacting with a therapy dog. As a matter of fact, University of Minnesota hospitals expect more therapy dogs to walk their halls.
Therapy dog Bailey has served the University for 3 years. She pays the students a visit 5 timer per week to provide support and joy. Holly Parker, Bailey’s owner, states that the companionship of animals reminds people of home. She added that the hospital staff loves Bailey and not just the patients.
