Going on a Date? Here Are 5 Pet-Friendly Date Ideas to Try

When you’re going on a date and will be away for hours, it makes you feel guilty to leave your fur baby at home alone. Why not bring your pet along? That way, you get to enjoy your date and also grab the opportunity to introduce him or her to your best bud. Here are five dog-friendly date ideas.

1. Take a hike together – Walking in nature is a win-win for everyone. It’s a great way to release your dog’s energy and will also lower your stress. Remember to keep your dog on a leash. Bring food and water.

2. Go to the pet supply store – If you’re planning to take your dog to the pet shop anyway, why not invite someone special to join you? You can have an engaging conversation about caring for pets especially if your date also happens to be a pet owner.

3. Dine at a dog-friendly restaurant – Look up “dog friendly restaurants near me” in Google and make a date out of it. Make sure to check that the restaurant will allow you to take your dog indoors.

4. Go out for a jog – If both of you are into fitness, a jogging date would be exciting. This is a good way to loosen up. Also, you won’t have to feel conscious about getting a post-run meal at a pet-friendly restaurant.

5. Outdoor movie night – A lot of parks host movie nights. Some parks will also offer refreshments and great music. Catch a flick with your date and ask him/her to bring his/her fur baby as well.

Do you own an assistance animal? Register your pet.

The Service Animal Registry of California invites you to have your assistance animal registered in order to designate its status. We also encourage you to take our online classes so you can be fully aware of your rights and gain more knowledge about your support animal.

Finally, we present to you our book entitled, “ASSISTANCE ANIMAL LAWS: LEARN YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING SERVICE ANIMALS, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS, THERAPY PETS, AND OTHER DOGS, CATS, AND ASSISTANCE ANIMALS” to provide you with a complete education on assistance animals.
