As Harrison County Assistant Prosecutor, Jeffrey Bruzzese interviews young victims of criminal court cases. He’s currently training his 3-year-old golden retriever named Luna to provide emotional support for the victims. Because in most cases, trust will have to be established first before a child can open up about the incident.
Bruzzese hopes that Luna will be effective in comforting the victims. Whenever he feels stressed, Luna would often comfort him as well. Part of the certification entails exposing Luna to various situations. These will ensure that Luna remains comfortable and calm.
She will become officially certified in May.
