Focus on Your Pet’s Oral Health This February

dog and brush

February is Pet Dental Health Month. It’s a reminder that our pets cannot brush their teeth and don’t carry toothbrushes with them wherever they go. It’s also our responsibility to do it for them at least twice a day.

Not taking care of your furry friend’s dental health puts them at risk of oral problems. Yellow teeth, stinky breath, or red gums are just some of them. 80% of dogs and 70% of cats will develop some form of oral disease by the age of three. That’s according to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS).

Here are the steps you follow to prevent pet oral problems: First, take your furry friend to the veterinarian for an examination and advice. Then, make sure your pet eats a clean and balanced diet.
