COVID-19 Situation Forces Non-Profit Organization to Boost Operations

non profit boost operations

The Helen Woodward Animal Center of San Diego increases its Pet Food Assistance program activities for community members who recently lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Through their AniMeals program, starting March 23, 2020, the non-profit organization will drive through the San Diego area for pet food distributions at no cost. Pet food distributions will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Given supplies are for two weeks of dog or cat food. Households must have a maximum of 3 pets. Only those who lost their jobs due to the quarantines and closures can avail of the program and are required to fill out a pick-up appointment request form at https://animalcenter.org/programs-services/animeals. Those who want to help can visit this site as well.
