Plum steps out of his day job as a therapy dog of the New York Cancer Center to train and compete for the Westminster Dog Show. The competition will be held in Tarrytown. It’s the first time the show will be held outside of Manhattan.

The 3-year-old is also known as Argon’s Black Diamond – Plum’s kennel name. He goes to the cancer center once a week to provide comfort for the patients. However, this Sunday, he’s going to compete for the Best in Breed category.

“We met all of the qualifications of being a championship dog and they picked him from a lottery,” said MaryJane Koren, Plum’s owner.
