Can an emotional support animal accompany its owner to public places?
Answer:
The animal does not have the legal right to accompany its owner/handler to public spaces of general accommodation. These places include libraries, schools, restaurants, movie theaters, and more.
Only service animals have public space access rights under Federal laws. Emotional support animals do not have public space access rights.
