12 Dogs Receive Certificates After a Month of Behavior Training

Twelve teams graduate from the training of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) Sagip K9 unit. They are the first batch of graduates and each dog has their own origin story. Some were stray dogs. Others were roaming animals. A few were pets of the university residents and staff.

One of them was Kotton. He came to the College of Mass Communication dirty and ridden with mange and fleas. Professor Khrysta Imperial Rara took him to the veterinarian. When Kotton recovered, he became a resident where students of the college would pet him during in-person classes. The training of these dogs is credited to Professor Rara and Coach Lumbao.
