Georgia Nonprofit Delivers Supplies to Dogs in Need

Thomasville residents have been facing a severe shortage of canine care supplies for a long time and the shortage has worsened since the start of the pandemic. Fortunately, Red Road Rescue, Inc., a Section 501(c)(3) rescue organization, was established last 2019 to deliver assistance, fostering, rescue, outreach, and transport to the dogs area and its surroundings.

The organization was created by Payne and her husband Johnny Bracey. Payne said, “Consequently, many dogs are abandoned, because pet owners can’t feed them. Usually when that happens Animal Control is called, and there’s a good chance the dogs will be euthanized. That’s the reason we started this. If we can help these people feed their dogs, and not abandon them, that’s the first step.”

Visit the link provided above for more information about Red Road Rescue. You can sign up at the website for adopting the rescue animals or for volunteering and fostering purposes. You can also donate through your credit, debit card, or PayPal through the “Donate” button found on the upper right corner.
